How to pack a kids suitcase
Helpful hint:
In different one gallon zip lock bags, individually roll the kidsT-shirts, shorts and underwear.
Squeeze the air out.
Place the bags in their suitcase.
If you do this, then dirty clothes never touch clean clothes. Come laundry time, you won’t have to sort laundry and you’ll probably have less to wash because we all know a 10-year old boy will go days without a shower or changing his underwear.
Kid Friendly Vacations

The school curriculum is a Great place to find ideas for family vacations.
Let’s use a family road trip for example. You have children in the 3rd and 5th grade and you live in California, Yosemite and Sequoia-Kings Canyon are great choices for a vacation. This family road trip will give your 3rd grader a jump start on the 4th grade curriculum and will reinforce what the 5th grader studied the year before.

Saving money for a vacation TIP # 1
Most of us are not good at saving money.
Months before the trip, research the areas you wish to visit. When you have a little money, buy a gift card to a restaurant or hotel that you will use while on the trip.
Purchase gas gift cards for stations in the area your visiting.
When you have a few bucks, tuck it in an envelope marked vacation.
Every little bit helps and it really adds up in the end. Be very careful about gift cards with fees and expiration dates!
